Scheduling and Pricing
How do I get a quote?
Call or email us at 616-856-3838 or dogdoodypatrol@gmail.com. We respond quickly and can typically start service within a few days of your request.
How is pricing determined?
Pricing is based on yard size, the number of dogs, and the service frequency you select. Contact us for a free quote tailored to your property.
Do you require a long-term contract?
No. We do not require long-term contracts or commitments. You can start, pause, or cancel your service with simple notice.
What service frequencies do you offer?
We offer weekly, bi-weekly, and one-time service plans including spring cleanups and winter service. We can help you choose the right frequency based on your dogs and yard size.
What areas do you serve?
We serve the Greater Grand Rapids area including Wyoming, Grand Rapids, Grandville, Jenison, Hudsonville, Byron Center, Kentwood, Ada, Forest Hills, Comstock Park, Caledonia, and surrounding communities. We also occasionally service Allendale, Lowell, and Rockford.
General
Do I need to be home during service?
No. We access your yard through the gate and complete the service while you are away. You will receive a completion notification with a photo when we are done.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Dog Doody Patrol is fully licensed and carries comprehensive General Liability insurance. Documentation is available for clients who need it on file.
Do you service yards in winter?
Yes. We offer year-round service including during Michigan winters. Pet waste does not stop accumulating in cold weather and neither do we.
How do I know when service is complete?
You will receive an email or text notification with a gate-closed photo after every visit. You also receive a reminder notification 10 to 30 minutes before we arrive.
Is dog waste harmful if left in the yard?
Yes. Dog waste contains harmful bacteria, parasites, and pathogens that pose health risks to people and pets. Regular removal is essential for maintaining a safe and healthy outdoor space.
Weekly Dog Waste Removal
How does weekly service work?
We visit your yard every week on a set schedule, scoop and bag all pet waste, and haul it away. Equipment is disinfected before each visit. You receive notifications before and after every service.
What if my dog made a mess in an unusual spot?
We cover your entire property, including fence lines, landscaped areas, and corners. If we find waste anywhere in the yard, we remove it.
Can I skip a service visit?
Yes. Contact us before your scheduled visit and we can skip that week without a problem.
What if my gate is locked?
We need gate access to complete service. Please provide a code or spare key, or be available to open the gate on your service day.
Is service available for yards with multiple dogs?
Absolutely. We service yards with one dog or several. Pricing accounts for the number of dogs, so larger households are covered in the quote.
Bi-Weekly Dog Waste Removal
How does bi-weekly service differ from weekly?
Bi-weekly service visits every two weeks instead of every week. It is a great fit for single-dog households or yards with lower waste volume where weekly service would be more than you need.
Can I upgrade from bi-weekly to weekly?
Yes. You can change your service frequency at any time with simple notice. Many customers start bi-weekly and upgrade to weekly as their needs change.
Is bi-weekly service available year-round?
Yes. We run bi-weekly routes through Michigan winters just like our weekly routes. Service continues on your schedule regardless of the season.
One-Time Yard Cleanups
How far back does a one-time cleanup go?
We do a complete sweep of the entire yard and remove all visible pet waste regardless of how long it has been accumulating.
Can I book a one-time cleanup before signing up for regular service?
Yes. Many customers start with a one-time cleanup to see our work before committing to a regular schedule. There is no pressure to continue.
How quickly can a one-time cleanup be scheduled?
We typically schedule one-time cleanups within a few days. Contact us and we will find a time that works.
Spring Cleanups
When should I schedule a spring cleanup?
We recommend booking as early as late winter so you are on the schedule before the spring rush. Service is available as soon as conditions allow after the thaw.
How much waste can you handle in a spring cleanup?
We handle full yards regardless of how much has accumulated over the winter. A heavy buildup from several months is a normal spring cleanup job for us.
Should I add sanitizing to my spring cleanup?
Many customers do. After months of frozen waste thawing, the bacterial load in the soil spikes. A sanitizing treatment after spring cleanup addresses the health risk beyond just the visible waste.
Yard Sanitizing & Deodorizing
Is the sanitizing treatment safe for my pets and kids?
Yes. The formula we use is pet-safe and kid-safe. You can let your dog back out the same day the treatment is applied.
Do you sanitize artificial turf?
Yes. Synthetic turf holds odors more than natural grass and benefits greatly from our sanitizing treatment. We specifically recommend it for artificial turf installations.
How often should I schedule sanitizing?
For most residential yards, a seasonal treatment or monthly application is sufficient. For high-traffic areas like dog parks, kennels, or multi-dog yards, more frequent treatment is recommended.
Can I add sanitizing to my regular cleanup plan?
Yes. Sanitizing can be added as a recurring add-on to any regular service plan or scheduled as a standalone treatment.
Commercial Pet Waste Removal
What types of commercial properties do you service?
We service apartment communities, HOA common areas, dog parks, office campuses, kennels, and any commercial property with shared pet areas.
Do you install and maintain pet waste stations?
Yes. We install bag dispensers and waste receptacles and provide ongoing maintenance including restocking. A well-maintained station encourages responsible pet ownership on your property.
Do you provide service documentation for commercial clients?
Yes. We can provide service records and proof of coverage for property managers and clients who need documentation for liability or compliance purposes.
How do you handle billing for commercial accounts?
We offer monthly invoicing for commercial accounts. Contact us to discuss terms and a service schedule that fits your property management workflow.
Winter Poop Scooping Service
Do you really scoop in winter?
Yes. We run our routes year-round including through Michigan winters. We work in snow, cold, and frozen conditions to remove as much waste as accessible conditions allow on every visit.
What happens when there is heavy snow cover?
We do our best to remove waste that is accessible. Some waste buried under heavy snow may not be reachable, but continuing service through winter significantly reduces the spring buildup.
Is winter service the same price as summer service?
Pricing is consistent year-round. Contact us for a quote based on your yard and service frequency.
